Datashredders was established in 2000 by the late Robert Lefevre and his son Edward. In 2004, Robert passed away after a short illness. Datashredders then became a limited company in 2006 and is now managed solely by Edward. Since then, the business has grown but remains a family run business with Edwards wife, sister and mum taking active roles.
The company bought their first shredder in 2000 to create their first mobile shredding unit and now operate several other vehicles. With these purpose-built, mobile, on-site shredding trucks Datashredders can provide a highly efficient and responsive service which can meet all your requirements.
Over the years, through organic growth and acquisition, Datashredders has diversified into paper and cardboard recycling, plastic processing, and material trading. This has meant some large capital investment projects into the 3 facilities.
Recycling now forms a large part of the business. At Datashredders we collect recyclable materials from organisations throughout the country, processing it at our recycling facilities from which it is sent to specialist, approved reprocessors so it can be turned into new products.
