Datashredders provides a rare on-site shredding service. We have several mobile Linder Micromat machines that we can drive directly to your doorstep. You can watch as we tip your waste directly into the shredder and shred it there and then. This way you can be sure that your material has not been compromised.
Off-site shredding is carried out at our facility in Cambridgshire via a secure chain of transport. Once you have placed your sensitive information into the secure waste containers that we provide, we will collect it from your premises with tracked vehicles. It will be transported back to our shredding facility and shredded the same day. Our facility is surrounded by high perimeter fencing, complete with 24-hour CCTV.
Datashredders’ high-capacity industrial waste shredders are able to shred anything you may wish to dispose of. This includes electronic storage devices, hard drives, SD cards, mobile phones, cassettes, computer discs – even clothing and credit cards. Our media destruction service completely destroys electronics, rendering any data unrecoverable. The resulting waste is incinerated at Energy from Waste plants and used to generate electricity for homes across the UK.
Commercial shredding is a legal obligation for any business and a way to keep your business safe. Data protection laws are in place to protect the personal information of clients and employees. Failure to dispose of confidential waste securely could have severe repercussions for your business. Datashredders helps businesses keep on top of data destruction through weekly, monthly or bi-monthly destruction services. Find out which one works best for you.
Datashredders does not only cater to businesses. We also provide residential shredding services to private citizens. Whether you have a few documents or thousands of pages, we can meet your requirements. We will provide you with a secure container for you to place your material in. Mixed media does not need to be separated and you don’t need to spend time removing staples – bung in your electronics with your documents and your paper clips; we can shred it all.
We provide a one-off clearance service to businesses or private individuals with a lot of clutter they’d like cleared. Our staff will come to your premises and shred what can be shredded and recycle what cannot. We will securely destroy your confidential material and remove anything else that you want to get rid of. What may have been causing you nightmares for months is all in a day’s work for us.
Our hybrid-working solution to shredding came about in recent years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is designed for businesses with hybrid workers who may take confidential business documents home with them. We developed this service to ensure that company data stored in the homes of employees can still be securely destroyed. Your employees can either drop their confidential waste at the office for us to collect, or we can visit their homes.

Peterborough is a cathedral city with a population of around 202,110. It was included in Northamptonshire until 1974, when it became a part of Cambridgeshire. The marshy Fenlands to the east of Peterborough lie below sea level. The archaeological site, Flag Fen, shows evidence of Bronze Age and Roman occupation.
The railway in Peterborough is on the major East Coast Main Line between London and Edinburgh and is thought to have contributed to population growth in the area in the 19th century. During that time, Peterborough became an industrial centre for the manufacture of bricks in particular. Today, its economy relies heavily on financial services and distribution.
The Anglo-Saxon settlement of Peterborough, Medeshamstede, was the site of a monastery, which is now Peterborough Cathedral, or the Cathedral Church of St Peter, St Paul and St Andrew; the seat of the Anglican Bishop of Peterborough.
