We are currently seeking a Yard Operative / Forklift Driver to join our growing team. As a Forklift Driver, you will play a critical role in supporting our operations by transporting, loading, and unloading materials along with ensuring that all materials are recycled using appropriate machinery which includes baling, shredding and granulating. You will ensure that all materials are handled securely and that your work meets industry standards and is compliant with regulations.

• Safely operate a forklift to move materials such as waste, recyclables, and heavy equipment.
• Operate baling, shredding and granulating machines, feeding with recyclable material for processing
• Load and unload materials efficiently and safely, following the risk assessments and safe systems of work in place.
• Transport materials to designated areas within the facility for sorting, processing, or disposal.
• Maintain an organised work environment, ensuring that materials are stored securely and appropriately.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Work closely with other team members to meet operational and environmental goals.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, at all times.

• Valid Forklift License and experience operating forklifts.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive materials responsibly.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
• Previous experience in a similar role (preferred but not essential).
