LDPE Recycling

Maximise the returns you get from your LDPE waste, while offsetting your carbon footprint.

Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) is the type of plastic you’ll find in things like shrink wrap and bubble wrap.

It’s also a popular material for pallet wrapping and general packaging, so chances are it’s a plastic you handle frequently in your workplace. Unfortunately, it’s also one of the main culprits that can end up in landfill.

Datashredders offer LDPE plastic recycling services for businesses across the UK. We visit your premises, remove all your LDPE waste and reconstitute it to make new products.

Contact us today to discuss all your LDPE recycling needs.

Improve efficiency, maximise revenue

Considered a very clean and safe plastic, LDPE waste is a good material to recycle and can be handled by recycling facilities much easier than many other polymers. This means it has one of the greatest recycling demands and can generate a significant return for businesses.

Partnering with Datashredders to dispose of your LDPE waste helps you to:

  • Recycle more of your plastic waste
  • Reduce the risks of workplace hazards
  • Lower your carbon footprint
  • Increase your operational efficiency
  • Generate income from your recycling
  • Achieve your environmental goals

The LDPE recycling number is 4 on its recycling symbol. We purchase most good-quality grades of LDPE plastic. If you are unsure whether your plastic waste can be collected and recycled by us, contact Datashredders today – we’ll be more than happy to assist.

The grades of LDPE waste we typically purchase are:

  • 98/2 LDPE Film
  • 95/5 LDPE film
  • 90/10 LDPE Film
  • 80/20 LDPE Film
  • LDPE Jazz (mixed colour)

Get in touch

Call or email us with your recycling requirements and the type of material you are looking to dispose of. Sending us photos and approximate volumes of your waste will help us assess its approximate value.

Options and pricing

You will be assigned a dedicated account manager who will work closely with you to meet your recycling needs. They will be in contact with you to discuss options and pricing.

Material collection

Your account manager will arrange the collection of your waste once the options and pricing have been agreed. We will then come to your premises to collect your material, working in accordance with your processes and industry regulations.

Reprocessing takes place

We take your scrap or waste hard plastics to our reprocessing facility. Once they have been sorted, they are shredded/granulated and securely packaged into bulk bags. This produces a recycled plastic product suitable for sale as a regrind that can be turned into new products.
