From Luton centre – around the districts of High Town and New Town, where the University of Bedfordshire premises, Grosvenor Casino and The Mall are located – head north on New Bedford road/A6. Continue past Wardown House, Museum and Gallery and Barnfield College. Stay on the A6, through Barton Hills Nature Reserve, until it joins the A421 at Elstow. Head eastwards to join the A1 and then take the 4th exit at Brampton Hut Interchange, onto the A141. The A141 will take you all the way to Wimblington, where our main data shredding facilities are based.

Luton is the most populous town in the county of Bedfordshire, south-east England. For administrative purposes, Luton belongs to the East of England region. The town sits on the banks of the River Lea and is thought to date back to a sixth century Saxon outpost. The Domesday Book records Luton as Loitone and Lintone. St Mary’s Church was built there in the 12th century; it is an Anglican church and one of the largest in Bedfordshire. Historically, Luton was known for millinery (hat-making) and Luton Town Football Club was nicknamed the Hatters for this reason. Today, the town is more prominent for its Vauxhall Motors car production.
