Secure shredding is a way of guaranteeing that your confidential data is disposed of responsibly. This means two things:
Secure shredding is extremely convenient for bulk destruction, as our Linder Micromat machines can shred tonnes of material in minutes. When we are done, no data will be recoverable from paper or electronic storage devices.
Your documents do not need to be sorted or easily accessible – our friendly staff will take care of everything, minimising time and labour for you. We provide polypropylene sacks and secure waste containers for safe and easy collection.
Datashredders’ unique on-site service entails the transport of mobile shredders to your door in Lincoln. This is our most convenient service, dramatically reducing the time between collection and shredding. You can watch as we feed your material directly into the shredder to certify that it has not been tampered with.
For off-site shredding, our DBS checked staff will collect your secure waste from Lincoln and transport it to our Cambridgeshire site for destruction on the same day. Our vehicles are traced to guarantee that your information is looked after properly. Our shredding facility is surrounded by security fencing and monitored by 24-hour CCTV.
Our high-capacity industrial waste shredders are capable of shredding any media, including electronic storage devices, hard drives, SD cards, mobile phones, cassettes, computer discs – even clothing and credit cards. The hydraulic technology behind our shredders completely destroys any data, rendering it unrecoverable even by the most tech-savvy people.
To ensure that your business complies with data protection laws, Datashredders offers a number of confidential waste disposal plans. We provide regular weekly, monthly or bi-monthly destruction services to help you keep up-to-date with your legal obligations. You don’t want information about your clients or employees falling into the wrong hands.
Datashredders can shred anything in any quantity. Many of our customers are private individuals. If you only have a handful of documents or one old laptop that needs destroying, we can get rid of it for you on-site or back at our secure facility. Moreover, you don’t need to go to the trouble of removing paper clips or plastic wallets; we can shred everything at once.
Our one-off clearance service is designed for large quantities of waste that has accumulated over time. This could be the clutter in your garage or a back-log of records in your filing cabinets. Datashredders will come to Lincoln and sort through your things, separating out what can be shredded, recycled, or donated. You don’t need to do anything except make sure there is nothing you want to keep.
For businesses that have instated hybrid working during the pandemic, Datashredders has developed a hybrid shredding solution to guarantee the continued security of company data. We can collect sensitive documents from the homes of employees in addition to your offices; or employees can drop their documents at the office in secure containers for us to collect and destroy.
We pride ourselves on making our services as convenient, cost-effective and secure as possible. Not only can we come to your doorstep, but we make sure that our BS7858 vetted staff are easily recognisable by badge and uniform. At the conclusion of each shredding cycle, you will be issued with a Certificate of Destruction, detailing the weight of documentation shredded and the date and address of collection. This confirms that your sensitive information has been destroyed to European Standards BN EN15713.
We are a recycling and waste management company with a strict Zero to Landfill policy. All shredded material is recycled where possible. In other cases, we resell waste to the manufacturer, process it into Refuse Derived Fuel, or send it to Energy from waste plants to generate electricity for the National Grid.

The county town of Lincolnshire, Lincoln is a cathedral city that originates from the Roman Legionary Fortress, Lindum Colonia. The Roman settlement is thought to have developed from an Iron Age community that existed on the River Witham. Lincoln Cathedral (also known as Lincoln Minster or St Mary’s Cathedral) dates from as early as 1072 and is the seat of the Anglican Bishop of Lincoln. It is renowned for its English Gothic architecture and was the world’s tallest building for over 200 years. Lincoln Castle was also built in the 11th century by William the Conqueror and is unusual for its two mottes.
